Over the years many people have asked me what comes next, following the completion of an 8 week Mindfulness Stress Reduction and Wellbeing course. Participants have appreciated being part of a supportive group and community and feel this is of benefit in sustaining their mindfulness practice.
In 2016, I ran a Living Mindfully course of 6 sessions spread out over the year. In 2017 I am introducing this 8 week course which is based on the work of Eric van Den Brink and Friz Kosner who have developed a programme that brings together compassion practices and Paul Gibert’s compassion focused therapy approach to enable graduates of 8 week mindfulness based programmes to deepen their understanding of how compassion can offer ways to free ourselves from deeply held patterns. The course helps us get acquainted with the inner landscape of:
– The inner bully
– The compassionate friend
– The resources which help us find and maintain a stable and calm centre of gravity
Participants will be able to deepen their understanding of both compassion and mindfulness and how together they offer us ways to be kinder, more open and heartfelt in our lives.
